Professional Groomer's Foundation Course

“So you’re ready to take the plunge and start your own business as a Dog Groomer!”

So what next?

Allbreeds Grooming can help with its specifically designed One on One Groomer’s Foundation Course(s)! These operate over 2 Week or 4 Week periods to suit your requirement. Importantly, you can be assured you are training intensively, one to one along side me ‘Apprentice’ style, not in a classroom scenario or being held back on a course that supports multi student training!

Our Foundation Courses are offered at private business certificated level.

These Courses are a natural progression from the Allbreeds Taster Day Course, giving Students the opportunity to comprehensively study Dog Grooming with a view to starting a dog grooming business.

Allbreeds is a fully insured and recognised Private Business Training Provider, and has worked extensively with ReAct the Government Funded Body for people re-training into the work place after redundancy.

Foundation Course(s) Content includes learning how to:-

Handle up to 30 different dogs per week
Learn a vast range of clipping/cutting techniques over many different breeds of dog
Recognise various animal skin conditions/ailments often encountered when dog grooming
Learn and practice relevant aspects of Health & Safety issues within the trade of grooming
Learn to service and maintain grooming equipment to ensure safe practice and usage and minimise costly repair bills
Learn and perform safe dog handling practices whilst grooming
Apply for a Licence applicable to animals in transit legislation
Learn how to develop and manage a successful Customer Base along with Marketing and Advertising at a level guaranteed to keep continuous bookings rolling in and cash flow healthy!
Design your own professional Grooming Room and make a ‘shopping list’ of all the necessary equipment required to be fully operational as soon as you leave your Training!
Create a fully professional working Business Plan sufficient to satisfy the requirements of any financial institution’s requirements.
And much, much more!!

Course Aim

An Allbreeds Training Course aims to ‘graduate’ its Students at a level whereby they can leave their chosen Course and commence Dog Grooming *immediately!

*Please note that a 2 or 4 Week duration Course can only give you a sound ‘grounding’ in the trade. Neither Course can give you the experience that you will develop day after day in a dog grooming environment! It is up to each individual student to progress from these Courses with the training they have acquired and build upon their skills and abilities.

‘Hold Your Hand’ Support

Each Course carries its own period of ‘after Training’ support e.g. if you attend a 2 week Foundation Course, you will receive 2 MONTHS free Grooming support from the date you cease training, a 4 Week Foundation carries 4 MONTHS FREE support!!
